Gathered over the last 15 years, data about minority groups, their change in enrollment from the previous year, their college, how they compare in number to other minorities in that college, and the sex breakdown were used to make unique points.

Gathered over the last 15 years, data about minority groups, their change in enrollment from the previous year, their college, how they compare in number to other minorities in that college, and the sex breakdown were used to make unique points.

After spending two summers in a research lab working with algae for biofuel applications I became intrigued about other potential applications for the work I was doing. At a macroscopic level the colors and movement of these colonies were hypnotizing and at a microscopic level the diatoms provided a totally different visual experience. The goal of this project was to capture that in promotional materials and packaging. 

          Inspired by Chuck Close's work, each point is unique up close, but upon stepping back you can see an image, or in this case, overall trends for certain years.
